Steyr-Daimler-Puch developed 3 models; two with 4 wheel drive, the Pinzgauer 4x4 710m canvas top and the Pinzgauer 4x4 710k hardtop, and a 6 wheel drive model the Pinzgauer 6x6 712m canvas top. These vehicles have recently become available for the very serious off-road enthusiast and for people whose work takes them beyond the paved roads. Pinzgauers are available in both a 4x4 and 6x6 wheel configuration in Soft and Hard Tops. Both have a fully synchronized five-speed gearbox coupled with high and low range gear ratios. They have front and rear hydraulic differential lockers, which are easily activated on-the-fly from within the cabin. Lockers engage hydraulically to lock all 4 or 6 wheels in gear so they all provide power, even if one or more wheels are suspended in the air. This provides significantly more traction than the majority of other off-road vehicles. When other vehicles get stuck, you will be able to drive around them and pull them out with your Pinzgauer. Pinzgauers have independent front
and rear suspensions and drop-hubs providing a 14 inch ground
clearance at the lowest point. Approach and departure angles
for off-road driving is 43 degrees allowing easy maneuvering
up and down steep slopes. It can ford up to 30 inches of water. We sell Pinzgauers! Email us for sales inquiries. |
