Best of New England Ski Resorts 2006 - 2007 Winner: Best Outdoor Adventures in The Northeast Mountains

On the edge of Barron Mountain, 10 minutes from Lincoln,
in the tallest pines and hemlocks, platforms have been built.
From platform to platform, strong cables are connected.
Each tree and platform are slightly lower down the mountain, allowing gravity to be the main power source
of the zip-line experience.

With well trained staff and specially crafted
safety equipment including a harness similar to a rock
climbers, you are clipped onto the line and zip down
from one platform to the next.

FAQs

  • There are 7 zip-lines totaling over 2000' of exhilaration. Platforms are 15' to 65' high in the trees and the zip-lines are 100' to 700' long.
  • "Treewalk Village" offers spectacular views of the western Whites, as well as 4 non-belayed bridges, tree platforms and zip-line #1 that begins your ascent.
  • Tours meet in our office on Main Street in Lincoln, where your guides will orient you to your equipment and accompany you to the trailhead.
  • Alpine Adventures' Zip-line Canopy Tour is located on a 1700' hilltop consisting of 300 private acres just 10 minutes south of Loon Mountain and Franconia Notch.
  • Our zip-line course was constructed with 1/2" aircraft grade steel cable suspended between trees and rigging poles allowing guests to glide through the air using a pulley and climbing harness, conforming to ACCT standards for load capacity.
  • Due to the gravity-fed nature of our course, starting at 1600' in elevation, and for the safety of our guests, there are weight requirements. Participants need to weigh between 70 and 240 lbs. There is an informal "weigh-in" at the office. Click here for more important information.
  • Tour duration is approximately 2 hours, and includes a short shuttle in the Zip-line Limo Bus and an off-road Safari ride in our 6-wheel drive Pinzgauers.
  • Zip-line Treetop Tours run throughout the day, all year round, and in almost all weather conditions. We will add more tour times (every hour) through July and August and as demand warrants. Click here for our cancellation policy.
